Sunday 11th September 2016

Rusper Golf Club - Smock Alley - Horsham Park

Some noticed the change........some didn't.
My apologies extend to all who made their way to Boulter's Lock to find no leader & no ride on such a beautiful day.
I'm entirely to blame as it was foreseen as early as the second week of August & Dave and I had a conversation on my ride to Bramley.
Graham changed the online rides list and I put a notice on our blog Tuesday of last week.

A few words.........

Bye Stephanie.
Perfect weather for cycling.
Foursome.
Mostly flat.
Lovely old pub.
Pint of lime squash 45p.
Southwater Country Park way to busy - some event involving loads of kids.
Horsham Park Conservatory cafe - new to Terry.
Wasps like Lemon Drizzle cake.
Blue sky all day.

As I write, 11 degrees daytime temp......after 3 days above 30 degrees!

Temperatures above 30C have been recorded on three consecutive September days for the first time in nearly 90 years.
The mercury hit a scorching 30.1C in Gravesend on Thursday, continuing a record-breaking month of weather. It is the first time such consistently high temperatures have been logged since 1929, the Met Office said.
