Sunday 1st April 2012

The bike of my dreams............a Condor Heritage.

The fisher-people were a plenty at Henfold this morning, somewhat holding up preceedings if-you-only-want-a-coffee......grrr.
Glad Janice wasn't out (lol) as we lingered well past 11.30am,partly due to Richard and his puncture/s................something that would come back to haunt him later in the day.
A beautiful morning with a light northerly breeze,we pedalled south via Weare Street & Rowhook to a 1pm lunch at Warnham.
Chatting whilst topping up the tan from last week,we scarcely noticed the time and Richard's indication to move on.
Graham, perhaps wisely, chose to head home.We on the other hand cycled south to Broadbridge Heath and the lane that leads to Slinfold.
It was at this point Richard's duty as leader ended as the deflation of his rear tyre got the better of him and he chose to head to the nearest station.
I took the reins and quickily decided Abinger involved a hill too many so it was to Dorking we rode via a short 30mph restriction on the A29 through Ockley and the minor road that passes Broome Hall to Coldharbour.
We managed a brief chat with Martin and the rest of the West Kent Hardriders who naturally had been on the road since 7.30am taking in Bocketts,Ripley,Chatley Heath Tower and Denbies.
The Cheam & Morden Easy Riders resume after the Easter break.................Happy Easter!
