Everything went to plan except we couldn't get to Capel in time for tea & cakes............(cue violins)..........................but we found tea at the cricket pavilion in Ockley .....................(woohoo!)..................but no cakes............... (cue more violins).
Rode back from Pixham Lane on a still closed A24...............heaven.
Won by France's Arnaud Demare in bunch sprint.
Boris Johnson completed the London Surrey 100 but punctured in Cobham and was assisted by a local.
