Paul, What happened I went to both Pilgrim Cycles and Denbighs for tea but there was no show? Never the less I enjoyed the ride down Little Switz & up Box Hill a mere 21 miles in all via Epsom

As ever, tea is a movable feast, lunch less so, as for divers reasons, members may need/want to make their own way to lunch. I have been frustrated when the lunch venue has been changed en route. We were passing through Brockham and it seemed an ideal stop for a Capel-like choice of cake, provided by the mothers of a local school, all candidates for a bake-off head to head. With dwindling light, possibly our last chance this year to indulge in a Brockham cake-fest- so we did in glorious sunshine!

Well Jeff, I should have known better and called your mobile. I am gutted that I missed the last bake-off at Brockham and even more gutted that I missed the challenge of Pebble Hill. In fact I am pig sick and glad to have avoided it! How many were out for the day?

The attendance tab on the C&M blog reveals all. As this was the last ride of the 'official' year (1st Oct 2015 - 30th Sept 2016), it also reveals top dog in the C&M attendance rankings, namely our shy and retiring Secretary GFH. This unofficial result is of course subject to confirmation following scrupulous audit, correction of any errors or omissions and right of appeal.
P.S. Although C&M is a Group in its own right, we may need to confirm to what extent the C&M year and MWW/SWL years may harmonise when considering overall attendance data across all former 'Sections'.
