Sunday 3/11/2019

I think only riders missing from Simon's snap are Simon and myself. "No leader" was printed in the newsletter so a plan B was prudent namely "head for civilization" well Addlestone where we were certain(?) to be fed. Nobody has a better plan.

The ride started belated around 1145 under occasional light drizzle (the forecast had been dry all day). There were six of us: Graham, Ann, Dave, Ed, Tony and Simon. We went across the Tilt, past the Mucky Duck and up to the farm and its gaggle of geese and onto Wisley Airfield.

There's a new but cyclist-friendly "stile" at Elm Corner. Close to Muddy Lane there was a brief encounter with a certain Welshman whose wisdom I ignored. The rest was suburbia: Byfleet, Row Town and Addlestone. At Dave's request we went over the bridge close to Coxes Mill and arrived at The Pelican just after one. We were closely followed by Pam who'd taken a shorter route. There was no desire for a tea top so the ride ended there.

Roughly where we went
